RealHer Makeup Review

I bought the RealHer Ambassador kit shown above which was my first exposure to the products. I had heard so much about RealHer from other beauty bloggers that I was very excited to try out. The reason? RealHer was created by a dad for his daughter in an effort to empower women. “Our mission is to inspire and bring out the best in the modern woman: to know her worth, to feel proud of her individuality, to love each and every one of her flaws, and to not fear who she really is, each product comes with a self-affirmation to remind us everyday that we are enough.”

They also donate a portion of all sales to an organization or cause that empowers women. For example, 20% of sales have gone to AAUW and LGBT Center of Orange County.

I was impressed as well by the quality of the makeup from the packaging – sturdy and clever – to the pigmented and rich makeup. Let me start with the packaging. I love the Black, White, Silver color palette. It is simple yet bold. Each product has an inspirational message (or self-affirmation as they call it) for the user which is a nice touch.

The beauty products themselves are beautiful. And I’ll give you my mini review on each of the products I have tried to date.

They have a wide-variety of lip products from lipsticks, lip liner, liquid lippies (both traditional and metallic) and glosses. They are all easy to apply and non-drying. My favorite was the metallic liquid lipstick (shown lower right in the color Be Bold). The doe foot applicator is big enough that you can get one application with one try which I love. It is so lightweight that you forget you have anything on your lips.

This was my favorite product out of everything I purchased. It is the Confidence in My Glow Highlighter and is gorgeous on. It is a creamy powder if that makes sense. And you get a ton of product so this will last a good long time as it doesn’t take much to make me glow! I will probably purchase all of their highlighters because the formula is just amazing!

Shown above is the Do Your Squats Shadow Palette as well as swatches – these are one swipe and you can see majority are very pigmented. My fave colors are Bodacious and Terrific. They blend beautifully and have very little fall out or kick back. They have mascara and eyeliner I would like to try in the future.

While RealHer’s prices may be a bit higher than some beauty brands, the fact that they give back with proceeds, makes it easier to pay a little more. And for quality product it is worth it as well.

I have a non-affiliate code you can use for 15% off sitewide – JODI15 at if you are interested in trying their excellent products. And you can feel good about a portion of proceeds going to a great cause!
